Everyone has a day job and I am no different. My job takes so much concentration, stamina, and resiliency that I found I was missing so much of my home's "still life". After coming to this conclusion I made myself a promise to capture a piece of the world around me to hold on to as I fly along at "the speed of business". My three children have been integral in bringing this goal to fruition for as they grow older, they still haven't been snatched up by that whirlwind and I pray it's a long time before they do.
I should extend a caring nod to my beloved fiance too for jumping on that bandwagon. For both of us, beauty is everywhere. |
I live in Calgary and that is so very much a blessing because I am only a couple hours drive in any direction from some of the most beautiful scenery a picky picture person could ever hope for.
Many of the pictures you see in my collection are from visits to the majestic Rocky Mountains. I will never tire of spending whole days there and I hope to always bring back a part of it. Some pictures are from right here in Calgary. Some snaps of the things we breeze on by and never notice. Like the view of the Calgary skyline from Barlow Trail and Memorial Drive. Quite a sight for those who haven't seen it.
My focus is everything in its home. I love plant life. Strangely enough, even dead trees, from the right angle can look so impressive.
